FGD'orama [11:45am PDT]
With the wide release of Worldcraft 1.6a complete, I would like to hear about any bugs or errors in the entity support for Quake2 and Hexen2. The Quake2 entity set received quite a bit of testing and should be generally error free (now that I've said that, I'm sure a few will magically pop up), but the Hexen2 FGD was written only from the game code. Now, either Hexen2 editing is not popular at all, or people using Worldcraft 1.6 to edit Hexen2 just aren't sending me bug reports. Anyway, send in reports and depending on how many I get, I'll post a new set of FGDs next week.

Thanks!

one point six eh? [4:15pm PDT]
Well, after wondering where it is, behold, it is here in all its glory! Or something. I just got the Ok from Valve to post it, so without further ado, here's....
...well, there might be a bit of "ado", depending on how long it takes for the file to get mirrored. In the mean time you can also pick it up from... ...and before I get another bunch of emails asking why in the name of all that's holy isn't there a way to select all faces of a brush when in texture application mode (useful for things like ladders and detail brushes, no?) ... there IS! :) ... When you're in texture application mode, hold down the shift button while clicking on a brush face, and the whole brush gets selected. Ta Da! :)

Congrats to the RUSTy guys, who've moved to www.gamedesign.net. RUST is my favorite editing site. Go there, have fun, post on the discussion boards.

Worldcraft 1.6a shareware?
Where is it? Have you seen it? Should we put it on milk cartons? Hmm...well, I'm sure we'll hear something about it any day now.

Whoa, an update! [7:30am PDT]
Yeah, yeah...it's been a long friggin' time!

Wa-Wa-Wally!!
I see Wally has moved over to Telefragged - http://www.telefragged.com/wally/. They also have a new version out - Wally 1.20! As usual, anyone even remotely thinking of doing some texture making needs to pick up this handy little program...which incidentally also keeps bugs away and does your dishes. (saw that on Blue's)

Sinner!@#
Feel like playing with sin...or something? Check out SinView, now at version 1.2, made by former crack-head (hehe, sorry Trey) Trey Harrison. (saw that on Blue's too).

Ramblings
Howdy all...er...to the two or three people who still come here anyway, hoping above hope that this might actually be the day that I get off my ass and make an update. Er...or something. I've been totally busy hanging out on IRC. Er...no...I mean...I've been totally busy actually getting things done...which unfortunately didn't include updating the Forge. =\

I've been working with Worldcraft 2.0 and Half-Life and stuff. And well, since I can't go into much detail, I don't want to say that you're going to be blown away, or you'll stop editing any other current game (!), or that Half-Life's textures are just the absolute shiznit, or that the AI is just the coolest, or even that the entity set is hugenormous. Na, I wont say any of that. Instead, I'll just mention that I'm a little bit impressed. Or something.

You may have noticed (I hope you have anyway...I know some people haven't) that I'm not updating the Worldcraft 2.0 suggestions page anymore. That's mostly because there's more than enough suggestions, and also most of what I get is quite similar to something that's already there.

Here's a question for y'all...what kind of editing help...I mean actual editing stuff, not editor related...what kind of stuff are you expecting with Half-Life? I'd be kinda interested to know. Or something.

By the way...what's up with these websites that have dark green or dark blue text on a black background?! That sucks! Erm, anyway....
