Gone Fishing
I'll be working on some projects until Worldcraft 1.6 is released, so I won't be updating with lame emails and llamas of the day anymore. (oh no! hehe). So, if you're stopping by here looking for news on 1.6, just look at the sign above. If its still gone fishing, then its not ready. Official word will still be found at the Worldcraft homepage. -autolycus |

Weird email of the day
That's it in its entirety. Not sure who this person is or what they mean (nor do I care). Guess I shoulda learned llama-speak. What the hell does "froming" mean?? my response:
The Golden Llama Award! Wow, here is an act of llamaness that deserved something special. Warning: this has nothing to do with email, Worldcraft, or the Quake community, and unfortunately, the actual target will never see this. Today's Golden Llama winner is the momo who drove into the backside of my car while i was driving my girlfriend to work. I swear, if that were a game of quake, he would've left the game with -1 frags. Where's my rocket launcher when i need it?!. The worst part is, I had this stupid dream last night that I was driving my girlfriend to work and got rearended. sPooky. -autolycus |

Llama of the Day!
Well, today's Llama of the Day definitely goes out to AOL. OK, I don't wan't to further the stereotype that AOL automatically means "Moron", but there is a certain segment of net user that frequently comes from AOL. Right now, i am being accused (and don't get me wrong, because I find this situation and the people involved highly amusing) ... but I am being accused of being "incredibly rude" for kicking someone out of the #worldcraft IRC channel, and then for supposedly ignoring his questions. my response: First, regarding the kicking: Noone has ever been kicked because of asking "newbie" questions. However, insulting other people on the channel, or being abusive, is a sure fire way of getting kicked out. A better way to get kicked is to ask for Worldcraft cracks or warez. You're in a help channel...act mature. Regarding ignoring of questions, two words: "I work" ... don't take it personally if i don't respond to you on IRC, i'm probably ignoring it and actually being productive. Certainly don't email me bitching about it. You will find my response much more rude than my supposed IRC rudeness. Hehe...of course, it does provide some amusement and an entry for the Llama of the Day, so its not all bad. BTW: WTF is a "wandering jew"?? This AOLoser seems to like calling me that... (I love creative thinking, but...uh...???) Concrete Toboggans?? WTF?? Hehe...if anyone is familiar with the Great Northern Concrete Toboggan Races, that's what I got to see this weekend...very cool stuff. Imagine a large sled whose running surface is made up of 300 pounds of concrete...man, engineers come up with some wacky things...your first thought is probably "whoa, they should be the Llama of the Day," but far from that, there was some exceptionally cool stuff. Imagine a toboggan with hydraulic brakes!? The fastest one came down the hill at about 40Km/h. Special mention goes out to team Waterloo, their hats were the coolest. :) -autolycus |

That damned El Nino!
Someone pointed out that not everyone know what El Nino was (besides being the #1 reason Worldcraft has been delayed heh). For those people, here is a link to more El Nino information than you wanted to know. (The quick version is "El Nino is a thingie that effects weather." ... that's the REALLY quick version) -autolycus |

Llama of the Day!
Check this out: "Valve just made it easier to make Quake II levels. Version 1.6 of the Worldcraft level editor has been released, and it supports Quake II level design. Hexen II is also supported. We know it won't take long for the Quake community to whip up mods and add-ons for the ever-so-popular Quake II." Well golly gee, isn't that nice. Um. Wait. Something seems wrong here. Oh, I know what it is. It has the stink of llama! This Llama of the Day award goes out to PC Games magazine for Llama-like behaviour in the realm of the text based medium (read that as "printing boldly untrue statements"). Thanks to MuuMuu of the Quake 2 Press for pointing that out. (Doh, forgot to mention this before, thanks to OvErLoAd for the Llama of the Day badge of dishonor!) -autolycus |

Llama of the day
The llama of the day comes not from email, but from IRC.
Oh wait, it got better.

<SARCASM SIZE="10000">This is obviously an exceptionally intelligent person.</SARCASM> Ok, do i even need to respond to this tripe? No? Thought not. Boy, glad I hung out in the Worldcraft help channel today! I was worried i wouldn't be able to add anything to the Llama of the Day, whew. -autolycus |
